In this category, all members, regardless of age, may vote for the one person in the Club that they feel contributes the most to the Club. This includes helping out with Club activities, friendliness, and generally being an outstanding Club member. The person voted for can be either a youth or senior member.
There are also MOST IMPROVED YOUTH AND SENIOR categories, but these are chosen by the Club Executive, Show Co-ordinators and Gymkana Co-ordinators, and winners are based on the most overall improvement shown throughout the year.
Qualifications For Year End Awards
Please note the qualification criteria for year-end awards were amended at the 28 Feb 2008 meeting. In the interest of treating all members in a fair and consistent manner, NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. The qualification criteria will be posted at every show.
Please refer to Page 8 in the Fun Country Riders Members Handbook:
IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR YEAR END AWARDS: individuals MUST:
Compete in a minimum of three Shows or Gymkhanas; and
Either the person or a **responsible adult MUST attend a minimum of half of the Club monthly meetings from the time of joining; and the person must help in some manner in at least 3 of the Club events through the season.
**Responsible Adult: Person responsible for a minor at all the FCR events.
At a meeting it was decided by members present that there should be repercussions for those who did not honour their commitments to the Club and the Casino. To prevent taking the chance of losing our Casino licences in future by ensuring that volunteers understand how important it is to follow through with their commitments, it was moved that if confirmed volunteers for a Casino do not fulfil their Club commitments, they will not qualify for any year-end awards or be allowed to participate in any clinics the Club may hold for the Casino term, seconded and passed by the Meeting.
