About FCR
The Fun Country Riding Club of Strathmore was incorporated in November 1988 but has existed since 1979 under the name Fun Country Riders.
It was formed to promote fellowship, education, sportsmanship, competition and general family recreation through the use of horses.
We try to encourage members to improve riding skills and training levels of their horses, with a particular emphasis on our children and young people.
Fees:
$15.00 single membership $30.00 family membership
Membership in the Alberta Equestrian Federation is required for insurance purposes.

For the 2022 Season we are ONLY going to be hosting timed gymkhana classes
Ribbons to sixth place are awarded for all classes.
Gymkhana classes start at 10:00am.
Each gymkhana will consist of the following: Barrel Racing, Pole Bending : Flags, Stakes and either Keyhole or Thread the Needle
ENTRY FEES
Classes:
Each division has the option of riding up a level.
Order of Classes.
We will ALWAYS BE STARTING WITH THE PEEWEE/LEADLINE GROUP, WITH THE REST OF THE GROUPS TO FOLLOW AS LISTED ABOVE.
For Double Headers;
We will be running the gymkhana events twice ( you will run your first Barrel run and we will go through all the levels and then run the 2nd barrel run). So we will not be running through all the gymkhana events and then re starting over. (Less set up this way) .
Entries and fee payment for Gymkhana will be taken between 9:00 and 9:45am.

- Peewee and Youth(8-16) $2.00 per DH
- Novice & Open (17 years and over) $5.00 per DH

- Youth Beginner (8-16 years)
- Youth Advanced (competitive) (8-16 years)
- Novice (Any Age)
- Open ( Any Age- competitive)
